Netflix TUDUM 2021: What to Expect At Netflix’s Inaugural Global Fan Event

If we are being honest, Netflix has pretty much become an integral part of our lives since the pandemic first hit, becoming a daily affair for us when we are commuting to work, or unwinding after a hard day’s work. Even as the world slowly regains normalcy, our love for streaming content still grows strong and just the sound of Netflix’s iconic ‘TUDUM’ can brighten our day.

To reward us loyal fans (in the most epic way possible), Netflix will be bringing together more than 145 of their biggest stars and creators virtually from all around the world, representing over 70 films and specials, to give us a day packed full of exclusives and first looks at their inaugural ‘TUDUM: A Netflix Global Fan Event’ — which will premiere on Netflix Asia YouTube on Sunday 26 September 2021 at 12AM SGT.

Here’s a look at what you can expect at the event.

STAR-STUDDED LINEUP

From the cast of Stranger Things to Bridgerton, get up close with a star-studded line-up of celebrities at the event as they make appearances through different segments and panels. Notable stars that you’ll see at the event include Jennifer Aniston, Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Lily Collins, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Lawrence, Adam Sandler, Lilly Singh, and Charlize Theron.

What’s a global streaming platform without its heavy-hitting line-up of movies? Catch exclusive sneak peeks at some of the biggest titles coming to Netflix which include the highly-anticipated Cowboy Bebop starring John Cho; Neil Gaiman’s long-awaited The Sandman; Zack Snyder’s Army of Thieves; Red Notice starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot; The Harder They Fall with Idris Elba; and the star-studded Don’t Look Up, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

ANIME SPOTLIGHT

Netflix has everything for everyone including Anime fans who will be given a treat with the upcoming anime line-up that includes Aggretsuko, Bright: Samurai Soul, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie, and ULTRAMAN. Some of your favourite anime talents will also share some secrets about their shows if you listen hard enough!

K-DRAMA SPOTLIGHT

Upcoming K-Dramas: Hellbound and My Name.

With the increase in Korean dramas available on the platform, it should come as no surprise as Netflix gears up to bring you an amazing line-up of upcoming titles such as the webtoon inspired Hellbound directed by Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-Ho and starring #Alive’s Yoo Ah-In; and My Name starring Nevertheless’ Han So-Hee. During the spotlight, you will also get a chance to get up close and personal with popular K-drama stars, Song Kang and Jung Hae-In, in an exclusive interview.

Upcoming Bollywood drama: Finding Anamika.

Rounding up Netflix’s Asia spotlight is a focus on Bollywood where you will get to see a sneak peek from the upcoming series, Finding Anamika starring iconic Indian actress Madhuri Dixit in a never-before-seen role. You will also get to see more exclusive first looks and panels including one on the upcoming series Heeramandi from acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
