The LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster guitar and amp set — you can’t play it, but you’ll display it!

For all the Strat fans out there, LEGO is launching a Fender Stratocaster set that comes complete with foot pedal and amp. In usual LEGO style, this is an incredible replica of the original 1970s guitar model, but made from tiny LEGO pieces with precision. It was created by LEGO Ideas fan designer from Slovakia, Tomáš Letenay, who originally entered the design into the LEGO Ideas Music to Our Ears competition, and it was so well received, it was made into an actual model for sale (this one).

There’s an option to build it in a black or red version, and it features six strings, poseable tuning pegs, and a movable tremelo arm. While the “instrument” looks real enough to play, its internals are still LEGO, and it’s really just good for building and displaying. (If you want to play a LEGO guitar, check out the LEGO Boost Creative Toolbox that has a pretty cool guitar that you can connect to a smart device to “play”.)

The LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster set will be available from 1 October 2021 at LEGO Certified Stores in Singapore. Its recommended retail price is $179.90.
