As if the technology that we live with everyday doesn’t already surprise and impress us at every turn, there are still more ways to blend functionality with smart living. Showcased at CES 2022, an annual tech trade show where the tech industry gathers to present their new products and technologies, LG unveiled their all-new state-of-the-art lifestyle OLED TV — the Easel from the LG OLED Objet Collection.

Developed for the home-centric way of life today, the Easel ($9,999) doesn’t. just offers the impressive 65-inch 4K picture quality of an LG OLED TV but also a sleek and elegant design. Much like its namesake, the Easel can be installed at any angle just like a canvas on an easel, giving you the flexibility to make your TV the statement piece or installed on the wall like an artwork in the gallery.

The TV also includes the use of fabric elements in its moveable cover, made by innovative Danish textile company Kvadrat, which can be controlled with the TV’s remote to get a new display experience on the Easel. When set to Line View, the moveable fabric cover slides up and reduces the amount of screen visible while still giving you access to useful features and modes such as the date, clock, and audio player.

When switched to Full View, the OLED evo technology will work with its Brightness Booster, which makes the colours more distinct and the details even more defined. It also delivers a multi-dimensional sound using its powerful 80W output and room-filling 4.2 channels to make you feel like you’re in your very own cinema.
On top of these, the Easel comes with a gallery mode that uses natural and minimalist videos to turn the TV into a piece of art when you’re not watching.

Similar to other 2022 LG OLED TVs, the Easel uses LG OLED evo technology to deliver lifelike images and an immersive, cinematic viewing experience. It combines cutting-edge picture algorithms and the α9 Gen5 AI Processor to elevate the ability of the TV’s self-lit pixels to deliver superior clarity, detail, contrast, and colour that creates images that can pop off the screen.
