Silky Miracle x Jean-Michel Basquiat Sees Graffiti Art On The Most Luxurious Loungewear

These most-coveted and luxurious pyjamas now come with an unexpected street art vibe. London-founded brand Silky Miracle has launched a capsule series of loungewear in collaboration with the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, where we get to see the late New York legend’s graffiti art scribbled across their sleek silk wear.

This one’s a surprising combo that works — three of Basquiat’s most recognisable artworks, “Beat Bop”, “Popeye has no Pork in his Diet” and “Equals Pi”, find themselves on just about the finest 100% mulberry silk money can buy, complete with the superb tailoring and quality that Silky Miracle is known for. The collection consists of three unisex loungewear sets in various styles, along with a decorative silk cushion to casually adorn your sofa.

In a brilliant turquoise blue, the “Equals Pi” artwork, last seen in a campaign with Jay Z and Beyoncé for Tiffany & Co., takes over a long shirt style that’s truly created for lounging. Those who prefer a bolder colour palette would appreciate the “Popeye has no Pork in his Diet” on a cuban-style half-sleeve shirt and loose shorts set that’s brimming with energy.

Then, there’s a more neutral “Beat Bop” print that should delight monochrome lovers, done on a classic long-sleeve top and pants set that best shows off Basquiat’s expressive scrawls and point-of-view. All the items in the loungewear sets are made from 100% mulberry silk, so we’re assured the softest and smoothest material against our skin.

Here’s a look at all three styles:
