‘Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience’ Will Be Making Its Way To Singapore

There was a scene in Netflix hit series Emily in Paris that really captured our hearts — love triangle between Emily, Gabrielle and Camille aside, the scene saw our lovable American at the L’Atelier des Lumières, immersed within a digital art exhibition of Van Gogh’s famous paintings projected against the walls and across our trio’s faces. The exhibition in question? Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, a 360° multi-sensorial exhibition that will be making its Southeast Asian debut in Singapore.

Tickets will be go on sale from Thursday, 19 January, at 4pm over at feverup.com, while the exhibition officially opens at Resorts World Sentosa in March 2023.

You don’t need to be an art major to enjoy the exhibition — the highly Instagram-worthy experience is set to appeal to people across all ages and interests, and has since received over 5 millions visitors since its first iteration in 2017.

Over 300 artworks by renowned artist Vincent Van Gogh will be on display, and instead of static paintings, you’ll be able to experience what it feels like to walk into one his art pieces, complete with the recreation of his signature brush strokes.

This discovery of his life, work and secrets is done via state-of-the-art 360° digital projections that are constantly moving and in rotation, a one-of-a-kind VR experience, and an atmospheric light and sound show.

An Immersive Room sees Van Gogh’s most famous paintings, including ‘The Starry Night’ and ‘Sunflowers’ projected across two-storey 1,000 m2+ screens; while the particular VR experience involves us donning VR lenses and taking a visually-rich journey into the inspiration behind 8 of his iconic works, including ‘Vincent’s Bedroom In Arles’.

At one point of the exhibition, we’ll even get to sit in the chair or bed depicting in one of his paintings, or take part in an interactive activity where we can create our own artwork and have these projected on the walls too.
