At the house of Dior, the colour gold has always been special; it’s a symbol of the brand’s timeless audacity and creativity, and it came alive in their 1947 Autumn-Winter collection that featured a delicately embroidered dress Golconde in gold lamé. And now each season, Dior’s Creative Director, Maria Grazia Chiuri pays tribute to the shade with a Dior Gold capsule collection that’s composed of iconic silhouettes that are given more than a touch of the colour and to dazzling effect.
Gold tones are seen on long dresses and midi skirts in tulle and lace, and even on boxy jackets in blistered fabric.
Iconic bag models including the Lady Dior and Dior Caro are made available in three golden variations – gold, gold pink and silver, with sleek tone-on-tone details, while the Lady D-Joy holds the graphic lines of the metallic Diamond Cannage.
Even shoes get a golden twist with the 30 Montaigne, D-Way mules and Walk’n’Dior sneakers magnified in opulent golden hues.
