MUJI, our go-to destination for everyday apparel, stationery, home and lifestyle goods, and everything in between, are celebrating their 20th Anniversary in Singapore, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. The Japanese retailer has come a long way since their first stores at Bugis and Bishan in 2003, while still giving us the same quality, functional and Marie Kondo-approved products we’ve come to love from the brand.
In order to celebrate this significant milestone, MUJI Singapore is offering special deals and a bundle set, a highly-coveted lucky draw, and the opening of a whole new store that has launched just in time for this month of festivities. They’ve also unveiled a 20th anniversary logo, done in collaboration with Raffles Design Institute Singapore, as a nod to local creatives.
Seen here, the logo takes after our national flag, thanks to the thoughtful arrangement of shapes and colours used; the subtle placement of MUJI’s logo at the position of the crescent moon also parallels the retailer’s rising influence in the community, surely a reference to how well-loved and ubiquitous MUJI’s items are among Singapore households.
“Together with the hallmark minimalistic treatment, the anniversary identity design authentically reflects MUJI’s essence of simplicity and functionality,” reflects designer Goh Yong Zhu, who is currently undertaking an Advanced Diploma in Digital Media Design at Raffles Design Institute Singapore.
20th Anniversary Exclusives
1. Lucky Draw — where one can win a trip to Tokyo!
Things are also getting exciting with the news of MUJI Singapore’s giveaway contest. As part of their anniversary celebration, they’ve got a lucky draw that runs all the way till 26th April, where one gets to snag prizes such as their popular Circulator Small Fan, Hard Carry Case, and Reclining Sofa — and even a grand prize of a pair of Economy Class return tickets to Tokyo, courtesy of All Nippon Airways (ANA).

MUJI’s New Retail Store + Café&Meal MUJI at 100 AM
The jubilant spirit continues over at 100 AM, a mall centrally-located at the Tanjong Pagar business district, where MUJI has opened their 11th store. As spacious and homely as you’d expect, the outlet is a godsend for working professionals and the office crowd since it’d be incredibly convenient to pop over during a lunch break, as well as the area’s residents and tourists.
With this in mind, MUJI have also chosen to house their Café&Meal MUJI at the new outlet, a comfortable 230 sqm space fit for about 70 diners, where one can enjoy simple and healthy deli meals that are big on Japanese flavours.
