The Sally Hansen x Crayola Collab Is What You'll Want For Nail Art Sessions

There’s really nothing quite like a Crayola update on beauty products; and that’s what we’re calling the effect that the childhood crayon label had with the couple of genius beauty collaborations that they’ve partaken in. The Crayola Update. See their very adorable collection earlier this year with Clinique’s famed Chubby Sticks, which they’ve revamped, with a huge dash of nostalgia, to form the very coveted (and limited edition) Chubby Lip Crayon Box.

And now, they’ve teamed up with Sally Hansen, our go-to nail polish brand for easy-to-do home manicures. We’ve seen the brand evolve; from their nondescript, humble drugstore offerings, to being one of the most sought-after and highly-rated brands for their innovative and long-lasting formulas. Just earlier in April, Sally Hansen dropped their Miracle Gel Rustic Charm collection, that comes in a whole bunch of peachy, terracotta tones which left us pretty impressed.
But this month, Sally Hansen took a drastic change in art direction (ha) — and the big collab with Crayola saw tons of brights, even borderline neon colours emerging from the line. It’s pretty much an ode to the vibrant hues of a nostalgic Crayola pack; the ones that thrill us to no end whenever we get the chance to crack into a new box of crayons, laid out in the colours of the rainbow.

Check out the standout picks: Wild Strawberry, a vivid blue-based red; Carnation Pink, our favourite millennial pink option; Cerulean, a muted grey-blue hue; and Denim, a royal blue. Fans of Crayola might also want to indulge in Dandelion, a true bumblebee yellow that has been retired from the OG Crayola colour line-up. All these polishes come with matching caps and the signature Crayola squiggle, just to add that bit of child-like innocence vibes to the mix.
On top of it all, the polishes are formulated with Sally Hansen’s famed Insta-Dri 3-in-1 technology, which effectively means that each coat of nail polish will dry in 60 seconds flat, without the need for a base or top coat. Quick-drying polishes are always a favourite, and with Sally Hansen’s in the frontline, plus the coveted partnership with Crayola, we absolutely can’t wait to finger dip our nails in these childhood favourite colours.
The Sally Hansen x Crayola collection retails for US$5 each and will be sold in selected stores coming July 2017 in the States. Your best bet would be to employ a parcel forwarding service or Airfrov, to have your polishes brought into Singapore.
