Everyone needs at least one pair of minimalist sneakers (see some of our best underrated picks here), because they go with everything and are comfy as hell – the most important traits in any piece of footwear, if you ask us.
Don’t get us wrong, our love for our Nikes, Adidas, and New Balances runs deep, but every now and then when we discover an under-the-radar sneaker label with gorgeous aesthetics, we need to share it. So let us introduce you to ARKK Copenhagen, our latest find.
As its website states: “We keep it simple, because we like it simple.” A mantra that always works when it comes to sneakers, and one that works very well for ARKK’s designs. The sport influences are strong, most evident in the silhouette, neoprene uppers, and thick white outsole; but these are still very much fashion sneakers, with details like a leather strip on the back and spray designs on the outsoles of some of the styles, and the standout way the laces are placed, extending horizontally over the entire shoe body.

Another of Arkk’s strengths is obviously also colourblocking – they cleverly opt to pair the blacks and whites with on-trend shades like blush pink, olive green and bordeaux red, as well as building the shoe uppers with nubuck leather and mesh mixed in with the traditional neoprene. We’re busy picking out our favourite colourways already.
