Ecco’s Soft 1 Collection Packs Minimalist Chic Sneakers Fit For a Princess

In today’s crazy world of fashion, it’s all about looking good, even if what you’re wearing isn’t particularly comfortable.
That’s not quite the case for Ecco though. The Danish footwear company started from humble roots more than half a century ago, when founder Karl Toosbuy planted himself in an empty factory in Bredebro, with the goal of crafting shoes that were functional yet comfortable.

Admirable, yes; but it was a risk that Toosbuy took. He gave up a stable job, although his belief in providing people with comfort never wavered.
“Style-conscious people were wearing those pointed, narrow shoes, made in Italy or somewhere, and I’d look at them and think, ‘That must hurt!,” Toosbuy once told Forbes.
Well, fast-forward to 2017 and Ecco has carved out a reputation for providing people with nicely fit, comfy kicks. But perhaps the main difference is that this time, Ecco shoes are known for their style too.

Case in point: one only needs to look at the company’s latest Soft 1 collection; which comprises of minimalist shoes with timeless designs.
That means exquisitely-hued colourways with well-designed ergonomics for a snug fit. You won’t get any loud, Yeezy-like garishness over here – which to be honest, is refreshing for a change.
Here are some highlights from the collection:

More importantly, you can say goodbye to sore feet with shoes from the Soft 1 collection, whether it’s a high top or low-cut sneaker, thanks to specially injected PU, Fluidform™ soles.
Also, each shoe from the collection is assembled from premium materials, such as full grain leather, with the low-cut models especially attractive with their delicate, pastel-coloured designs.
