Glorious hair is an ideal 365 days of the year, but what do we do without our beloved and trusted hairdressers fixing all of life’s problems for us, including the talk therapy bit? D-I-Y. Here, we’re tackling presentable hair on three fronts — the goal of smooth hair, a healthy scalp that promotes hair growth and prevents hair fall, as well as maintaining coloured hair without the fuss.

Manicures are not to be forgotten, of course, but dare we say leaving your nails naked, just for a while, might contribute greatly to their health. The Ordinary’s cold-pressed Argan Oil is quite the all-rounded solution for nutrient and Vitamin E-rich hair, skin, lips and nails, so we’d recommend this singular purchase to tackle dryness, especially for your cuticles and nail beds. If you must dress them up, and are looking to experiment with fake nail sets or nail polish, try a speedy removal-in-a-bottle method that breaks down glue bonds while leaving them strong, shiny and nourished.

The struggle to stay in is real, and while UV light from the sun is still very present when indoors, it’s not quite the same as being out in the open, breathing in fresh air, with the warmth of the sun on your face. Not trying to tempt you there!
You can at least look the part without the UV damage. If those still sound too radical for you, we’d trust Aesop’s geranium leaf and bamboo formula to gently slough away dead skin cells and unveil your skin’s inner radiance.

Again, that glow can also be achieved with some well-placed makeup. Shiseido’s foundation is a no-brainer for its ability to resist heat, oil, and humidity by adapting to your skin’s condition. We’d throw in a liquid highlighter on the high points of your face for an illuminating glow, and Pixi’s creamy blusher for a natural-looking flush.
