RIMOWA Debuts Collaboration with London-Based PALACE For Limited Edition Suitcase and Skateboard Deck

It is only the beginning of February but the fashion collaborations just keep on coming, and this time it is with luxury luggage brand RIMOWA and London-based skateboarding and clothing brand PALACE.

With a mutual appreciation for daring designs, these two brands have teamed up to merge the century-old heritage of German engineering with modern fashion and streetwear to create a limited-edition suitcase, skateboard deck, and sticker set that will launch on 10 February 2023.

The PALACE RIMOWA Original Cabin Desert suitcase features a vibrant artwork of a dystopia desert landscape against the backdrop of RIMOWA’s iconic aluminium. Designed by PALACE artists in a hand-airbrushed aesthetic, the self-interpretative artwork showcases a nomadic figure walking towards a chrome monolith that appears to be watched over by a sand sculpture of a woman.

The detailed inscription of the artwork is a result of a team effort with RIMOWA and their mastery of digital printing for the seamless gradient and vibrant colour pigments. In addition to the exterior design, you will also find an ‘infinity’ artwork on the interior which represents both brands’ shared value of creating quality and long-lasting products. Made in Cologne, this suitcase is truly a limited-edition piece with only 500 pieces available globally.

Skateboarding enthusiasts can celebrate the spirit of mobility with the PALACE RIMOWA Deck which features a rendition of the same ‘infinity’ artwork from the suitcase as well as the names of the two brands imprinted all over on one side while the other side features RIMOWA and PALACE’s iconic logos inscribed on each end. The deck is measured at 21.59 centimetres in width and is made of 7-ply Canadian Maple wood grown by the Regrowth Programme.
