Happy Oppenheimer Barbie week! The highly-anticipated film, Barbie™ The Movie, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as our dreamboats Barbie and Ken respectively, premieres this Thursday, 20 July, and the excitement is through the Barbie Dreamhouse roof.
As they say, the devil works hard, but the Barbie marketing team works harder. If you’ve spent any time on social media at all in the last two weeks, you’d have been swept up by Margot Robbie’s pink carpet glam, which saw the Aussie movie star in fabulous outfits that bring to life the most iconic Mattel dolls across the decades.
Similarly, brands have announced official Barbie-themed collaborations with non-stop intensity as well, giving us everything from clothing to jewellery to nail polish and makeup so we can indulge in all things pink, sparkly, and whimsically life-in-plastic fantastic. Ahead, we’ve rounded up 9 of these limited edition collections that are available in Singapore, in case you’d like to rock some Barbiecore this season. C’mon, let’s go party already!
1. Barbie™ x Fossil
Watch out, Fossil’s got some stunning watches, and a bunch of impressive jewellery and leather goods as well, inspired by Barbie’s charming motifs and her iconic shade of pink. These capture the whimsical and nostalgic charm of the doll as well — most prominently in a unique Watch Ring that showcases a five-petal flower design reminiscent of Barbie’s floral prints.

Then, there’s the Raquel timepiece, a classic-looking watch that’s paired with icons such as a crystal flower charm, roller skates and a pink car, while the watch series is rounded off with the highly-customisable Carlie watch, which comes with an additional interchangeable strap and a chevron topring inspired by the black-and-white swimsuit worn by the first-ever Barbie.
For a touch more pink, look to the Liza camera bag and Penrose wallet crossbody, each made of soft, smooth-grain leather in bright pink, while pink crystal accents and other charms are seen across Fossil necklaces and rings, including a cute Barbie mother-of-pearl locket that can hold a picture of your beloved Ken.

2. Barbie™ x Crocs
Ah, crocs, the rubber shoes we love to hate — but are actually kinda lovin’ these days. That these quintessential blocky summer sandals are paired up with one of this Summer’s biggest blockbusters? Match made in Barbie heaven, especially when they come in brilliant shades of pink.
The Barbie™ Classic Clog is the pink moment we want on our feet, decked in pink with Barbie’s silhouette graphic on the midsole, and accompanied by 8 Barbie™ Jibbitz™ charms. 3. Barbie™ x Kipling
Make Barbie pink an everyday affair with the bags from the Barbie™ x Kipling collection, of eight upbeat styles that feature a perfectly-matched pink in a shiny glaze finish atop Kipling’s signature crinkle nylon. Think glazed donut meets Barbiecore — that’s how you know they’re doing this right.
Some of the brand’s most popular styles are reimagined here, including the roomy Art tote and the Seoul backpack, though we’re just as in love with shoulder bag and crossbody styles such as the more minimalist Ayda and compact yet spacious Bina. Kipling takes the Barbie inspiration even further with a photorealistic doll keychain, of Barbie wearing a pink jacket and jeans, as well as a revamp of their famous monkey charms, now covered in Barbie-pink fur and donning a matching visor. Each of the bags see contrasting zips and trimmings in white to complement the sweet style, silicone Barbie logo tags, and playful linings of Barbie dolls and logos on the inside.

4. ALDO x Barbie™
This one’s for the girly girls. The 9-piece Barbie™ x ALDO limited-edition collection takes on heels and bags with a Y2K slant, which is why we’re looking at a no-holds-barred, maximalist series of glittery rhinestones, hearts and holographic finishes, and even the Barbie monogram bedazzled on a pair of see-through heels.

The Barbie™ Stessy Mailbu Pink heels, for instance, are the stilettos you’d want to strut about in, and see the Barbie “B” monogram on a translucent backdrop; it’s best accompanied by the Barbie Hangbag in light pink, a see-through shoulder bag with silver hardware. There’s also a pair of hot-pink strappy mules, and even platform sneakers, so we get to rock the fun and fearless fashion of the iconic toy no matter our personal styles.

5. Barbie™ x Superga
We talked about this earlier, but can you imagine a more fitting pair of kicks to walk around the Barbie Dreamhouse with? Superga has teamed up with Barbie™ The Movie for a summery capsule collection of two exclusive styles — these feature white-based 2750s with elements inspired by the Barbie universe. They are then distinguished with a side jacquard label with a pink Superga logo, a collaboration logo-printed insole, and collaboration-branded rubber back patches.
A pair of Superga 2750s arrives in a Barbie Movie Print design, where its white cotton canvas upper sees illustrations of Barbie-inspired symbols, including rollerblades, beach toys and palm trees, and the movie logo; this eye-catching upper is then balanced with a totally white sole and white laces.
For a more classic design, look to the Superga 2750 Barbie Movie Pins, which consists of a primarily white cotton canvas upper made different with hot pink eyelets and wonderfully contrasting pink outsoles. They’ve got denim-on-denim fits for both Barbie and Ken, or ones in shiny leather with flared pants and white cowboy boots if you’d like to go all out. Realistically though, the Zara x Barbie™ collection presents some of the most contemporary apparel yet, without bordering on cheesy merch category.

Sure, there are a couple of unavoidable logo t-shirts, but for the most part, we’ll call this collection Barbie-inspired, thanks to pink gingham prints, hot pink dresses and jumpsuits, and summery silhouettes. Also impressive, a full-on leather tote bag where the curve of the Barbie “B” logo sits comfortably on your shoulder.
