OPPO has debuted a stylish new collaboration with fashion house AMBUSH® — meet the Flipped Padlock smartphone case, an oversized heart-shaped style created just for the OPPO Find N3 Flip.
Designed by AMBUSH®’s Creative Director YOON, it’s inspired by their signature Heart Padlock Bag, this time in a chic pink shade and a part-Y2K, part-futuristic design that wraps around the foldable phone. The old-school inspiration is rather fitting too, since foldable phones are making a comeback from that same era.
“I’ve been a sci-fi fan since I was a kid, and technology development has always inspired my designs. The return of the Flip phone trend has brought me back to the late 1990s, a pivotal time in fashion, when futuristic styles were on the rise, and people started using style as a status symbol,” said YOON, Creative Director of AMBUSH®.
“This collaboration explores how the smartphone, our most-used technology product, can become an extension of who we are. With the Flipped Padlock and Flip phone, you can be anyone you want to be, which is exactly what AMBUSH® has always stood for.”
The limited edition collaboration certainly gives even more streetwear credibility to the OPPO Find N3 Flip, which, when paired with the Flipped Padlock, is transformed into a whole new fashion accessory.
Its metal padlock handle lets us carry the case like a bag or clip it to one, while the raised edges and soft silicone material give a puffy look to the heart case; there’s also a cut-out in the front for the phone’s innovative Cover Screen, so we can quickly access our most-frequented apps.
The Flipped Padlock case arrives in a specially-designed collaboration box, with a set of exclusive stickers.
