These are what the hot girls will be wearing this Summer — coloured sneakers! White and black are getting a little boring in the era of the adidas Sambas, and in fact, adidas Originals gives us another key shoe silhouette to look forward to, the Handball Spezial, this time in bright colourways as part of their collaboration with cult LA-based label Sporty & Rich.
The retro sportswear aesthetic of the brand comes through in the campaign imagery for the collection, which captures peak vintage vibes as the shoes are paired with rugby shirts, sweats and chic off-duty bodysuits. This marks the fourth collaboration between Emily Oberg’s elevated wear label and adidas Originals.
As for the co-branded sneakers themselves, each pair is true to the original design of a suede upper and leather detailing, while subtle “Sporty & Rich” text in gold can be seen just above the three stripes. The gum soles add even more of a retro-sporty hint to the footwear as well, available in green, brown and pink.
