BAPE® X RETROSUPERFUTURE To Drop A Capsule of Camo Sunglasses

Get ready for a collab that is sure to excite every hardcore hypebeast and OG streetwear heads. Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape aka BAPE®  is commonly credited as a “first-gen”/ “true” streetwear brands and it’s collaborating with Italian contemporary eyewear brand Retrosuperfuture for an exclusive sunglasses capsule collection.

They’re reimagining two of Retrosuperfuture’s iconic sunglasses, Flat Top and Drew Mama, with the signature BAPE® camo print and gold detailing for a new look. Both sunglasses feature a shiny black finish frontal frame with signature BAPE® camo HD print on the interior and and mismatched temples with the camo on the exterior. Gold detailing and inscriptions also complement the gold-tinted semi-flat lenses.

The Flat Top has a distinctive flat upper line that bridges the two lenses, while the Drew Mama features thick temples. BAPE® took these classic templates and threw on their signature camo print mixed with a luxurious touch of gold.

The collection is a “Made In Japan” exclusive as this is the first time RSF is manufacturing its eyewear outside of Italy. But the quality remains as superior as ever; it is constructed with high-quality High Density acetate for a sturdy pair of frames. Still, you might want to always store them in the complementary camo case as they probably cost a pretty penny.

Available from 20 July on RSF NYC and RSF LA stores, retrosuperfuture.com, BAPE® stores and IT platforms.
