This Hello Kitty Vibrator is Sold-Out Globally But Here’s Where You Can Still Buy One

This is it, we have found something that’s as adorable as it is disturbing in equal measure — a Hello Kitty ‘Vibrating Massager.’ Officially licensed, approved and produced by Sanrio (parent company of almost 500 of Japan’s cutest icons), this product was originally marketed as a tool to soothe aching neck and shoulders before consumers begin using its vibrating function on muscles further down south.

An unlikely icon for personal pleasure.

It’s not difficult to imagine why this Hello Kitty Massager would be used alternatively as a sex stimulator. First, there’s the suggestive phallic, elongated shape that’s reminiscent of, and similar to a human sexual organ. Then there’s the stimulating vibrating feature not dissimilar to other less obviously adorable sex toys. And of course, since these are made in Japan (where almost anything and everything goes when it comes to personal pleasure), it wouldn’t be too shocking for the rest of the world to imagine it being simply what it seems.

Sanrio’s company owners have on-and-off-again pulled this now cult Hello Kitty collectible from the shelves. The first time, reportedly because of its popular appearances on adult entertainment sites. However, they were relaunched not long after when fans of Hello Kitty and/or the massager demanded its return. Which Sanrio obliged to by offering it this second time around in 4 different colours to cater to the discerning tastes of different individuals.

The pink variation of the Hello Kitty Massager is available on eBay for USD 99.99.

However, they appear to have been discontinued (again) since they are nowhere to be found on the official Sanrio online store. That being said, if you’re planning on purchasing this Hello Kitty product for whatever reason (wink, wink), you can still snag one from unofficial retailers on eBay (still available for sale at press time) or Amazon (sold out for the moment).

As adorable as they may be, it seems that based off of reviews on the product, these have a less than mind-blowing performance when used as a sexual stimulator, “but it can get the job done.” So diehard Hello Kitty fans may want to consider leaving them in its sealed packaging, where it can be best admired simply as a peculiar collector’s item.
