Local blogger Andrea Chong, better known as Drea, is back with her third collection in partnership with Italian sneaker brand SUPERGA, launching July 17th. Similar to her earlier collaborations which presented minimal sneakers and casual mules, this year’s Essentials collection brings us back to the basics, introducing 2 new styles — the Ballerina and Slingback.
Both styles are available in 4 muted colourways, inspired by the blogger’s daily life — Fresh Laundry (a clean cream), Weekend Bakes (a natural nude), Garden Party (a pastel green) and Lavender Mist (a light lilac).
Ballerina
The Ballerina certainly lives up to its name — fitted with Espadrille soles reminiscent of Drea’s first collection with the brand, here, we’re introduced to a new silhouette. Featuring a low profile and 3 pairs of eyelets instead of the usual 5, the cropped upper has the illusion of enhancing your ankles and elongating the legs.
Slingback
On the other hand, the Slingback provides an even more feminine profile with minimised soles and featuring the same 3 sets of eyelets. Look forward to a comfortable wear with the help of a cutaway back, fitted with a strap that features an adjustable tonal buckle.
The collection also features a canvas tote bag that’s perfect to go with any pair you pick.
With Essentials in mind, 5% of the sales from the collection will be donated to Free Food For All, a community-led charity that provides food for the less fortunate in our community, and provides the support to empower them on their journey to becoming contributing members of society.
