These Superga x The Editor’s Market Sneakers Are Made For Those Who Love Clean, Neutral Palettes

You know what’s ironically trendy these days? No-trend, non-seasonal wear, that is, timeless classics that we can wear on high rotation without fearing they’d go out of style. Whether you want to call it a capsule wardrobe or smart, always-stylish dressing, local brand The Editor’s Market is quite the popular shopping haven thanks to their range of versatile wear — and now, Superga sneakers.

The collaboration is the first one between The Editor’s Market and Italian footwear label Superga, and bears the theme “Mind Open, Heart Open”, which calls us to embrace and discover the diversity of perspectives around us. Naturally, the sneakers bear both brands’ ethos very well, with the iconic 2750 tennis shoe and 2402 mule done in soft, neutral, and versatile shades of white and creamy beige.

One of the designs is a fun black print of hand-drawn illustrations, done on either white or beige canvas, with expressive strokes and abstract faces; you’ll see this on both shoe models, including a slip-on mule style, making up 4 out of 5 shoe styles offered in the series.

The last pair of sneakers is deliberately kept clear of embellishment, meant to signify a clean slate, though they’ve paired it with retro-inspired striped rope laces that you can easily switch out to change up your look.

All the styles are designed with premium canvas uppers and a matching toe cap, as well as vulcanised gum soles and embroidered eyelets. Additionally, the sneakers also feature “Mind Open” and “Heart Open” tabs on the back, as a nod to their inspiration.

Naturally, the campaign images build on the shoes’ clean vibes as well, where we see them paired with neutral separates, a meadow-hued green dress, and crisp blue and beige shirts worn as layered outers, which have just enough subtle detailing to stand out and blend in at the same time — kind of like the shoes, really.
