Mobile photography has got a pretty awesome reputation these days — entire short films and campaign images are captured on the tiny but powerful devices we can then stow away in our pockets, and this time, an entire exhibition has been set up to honour how far this technology has come.
To celebrate OPPO‘s latest revolutionary Find N3 series, the Chinese smart device brand has launched OPPO STUDIO POP-UP, a month-long event set at the heart of Orchard Road, where we get to witness the Find N3’s amazing tech and photography prowess, while participating in some exclusive photography experiences and earning prizes along the way. Through exhibitions, activities and more, it aims to inspire us to capture everyday moments and get creative with our mobile devices and go “Beyond the Image, Beyond Imagination”.
Here are the most exciting things you can look forward to at the pop-up, happening now till 6 December.
A “Golden Times” Photography Exhibition
What better way to inspire mobile photography than an impressive gallery wall of images, all shot exclusively on the OPPO Find N3?
This “Golden Times” exhibition, in particular, teams up with 9 local photographers, including our own Editor-in-Chief Adele Chan (@adele__chan); influencers Nicole Wong (@ncwong) and Salina Chai (@salinachai); as well as photography enthusiasts Aik Beng Chia (@aikbengchia), Alia (@redribbon26), Allen Tan (@bam_visuals), Bobby Tonelli (@btonelli), Mun (@munsterphotography), Qiya (@piqya), Teck Lim (@_teck) and YK (@yk) to co-create a series of photography works.
Whether it’s portraits of local personalities including Zoe Tay, backstage at a Teochew Opera, atmospheric shots of HDB blocks and Singapore’s architecture seen during golden hour, or intimate everyday moments, this showcase, captured in sharp detail, shows off why OPPO is one of the forerunners in mobile photography — after all, their latest foldable Find N3 comes equipped with a Hasselblad camera system, which is highly-regarded in the photography world.
A photography contest we’ve run recently also sees 10 readers, handpicked by us, where they got a chance to photograph with the Find N3 as well; some of their works are also exhibited here.
All photos showcased at the pop-up have been shot exclusively on the OPPO Find N3 specifically for this exhibition. You’ll also get to see campaign photos of actress Shu Qi, which are shot on the OPPO Find N3 Flip by the OPPO HQ in China.
Exclusive Smartphone Accessories, In Collaboration with Local Fashion Brand RECKLESS ERICKA
With sleek matte metallic finishes, and the Find N3 in black that sees a premium leather back, the smartphone is a good-looker that delivers on both powerful performance and attractive design — so, of course, it needs stunning accessories to pair up with. Here to further elevate the phone is an exclusive collaboration of limited-edition phone cases and accessories designed specifically for the Find N3 series, done in collaboration with local fashion brand RECKLESS ERICKA.
The custom pieces will be on display at the pop-up and available for purchase in limited quantities at the OPPO Online Store, OPPO Shopee Official Store and OPPO Lazada Official Store. You can also get a glimpse of phone cases designed by various Chinese designers at the OPPO STUDIO POP-UP.
