BreadTalk Introduces Their First-Ever Impossible Foods Bun — The Impossible Pepper

This year marks BreadTalk’s 20th anniversary and as part of their plans to produce interesting flavours to add to their menu, the bakery chain has collaborated with Impossible Foods to bring you their first-ever plant-based meat bun — the Impossible Pepper.

The Impossible Pepper ($2.50) features Impossible Foods’ plant-based meat filling cooked with turnips in a homemade black pepper sauce, and stuffed inside a charcoal bun topped with crispy rice puffs. As the first Singaporean bakery to collaborate with Impossible Foods, the BreadTalk team had experimented using several cooking methods before settling on the final Asian-inspired recipe that you’ll taste in the bun.

During the launch period, BreadTalk is offering an exclusive deal on their e-store and delivery platforms where you can get two pieces of the Impossible Pepper and two bottles of house-made soy milk in a bundle at a promotional price of $9.60 (UP $10.60).

In addition to the Impossible Pepper, BreadTalk is also launching their two new Healthier-For-You buns — the Flax Flax and Boing Boing.

Flax Flax ($1.90) is a plain bun that is infused with flax seeds to give you the protein, fibre and essential omega-3 fatty acids you’ll need to energise your day, while the Boing Boing (1 for $1.60, 3 for $3.50) is the bakery’s first-ever non-wheat flour creation baked with psyllium fibre, monk fruit, and coconut and almond flour, which gives the low-carb bread a unique “bouncy” texture.

The Impossible Pepper, Flax Flax and Boing Boing are now available at BreadTalk outlets islandwide as well as BreadTalk’s official e-store, and on GrabFood, foodpanda and Deliveroo.
