A Short Horror Film By Moncler x Simone Rocha

British Designer Simone Rocha is back with a new collection for her recurring collaboration with Moncler Genius — the brand-wide movement that has expanded the heritage French luxury label to reach out to younger audiences who aren’t immediately seduced by their renowned winter coats.

For this latest collection, the fashion designer had commissioned a film that adopts the fantasy film elements popularised by Frederico Fellini — whose work served as the main inspiration behind the collection, that follows a troubled ballerina descending into a beautiful nightmare, not unlike a scene from the horror film Suspiria.

The darker themes here (intentionally) contrasts with the lightness and femininity of the collection that features heaping skirts of tulle, voluminous nylon coats layered with flower beads, and tulle opera-length gloves with more beading dripping off its fingertips. As a whole, the collection when viewed as a single entity appears to look like a wardrobe fit for one of the most infamous possessed dolls on the silver screen in recent memory.
