Singapore is not short of talented, promising jewellery designers, though most local jewellery brands don’t get the exposure they deserve. So, in continuation of our support for local talent, we have curated a list of local jewellery brands with some of the most unique designs that we think are worthy of your attention.

GARDEN OF DESIRE

Co-founded in 2008 by Paris-trained Cambodian designer Ly Pisith and Singaporean art curator Agnes Lim, Garden of Desire focuses on handcrafted fine silver jewellery with semi-precious gemstones and grey sandstone that pays homage to Khmer culture.

The jewellery brand’s contemporary offerings shown here, are inspired by nature, organic forms, and emblems found on the walls of the UNESCO World Heritage site — Angkor Wat, to create exquisite jewellery that tells intimate stories of its key designer’s roots.

KLACE

This homegrown eco-friendly accessories brand was founded to challenge the idea of jewellery and to celebrate handmade craftsmanship. Each of their offerings is created with heart, through the child-like process of experimenting with creativity without boundaries.

Founder-Designer Sherry Libedinsky first started making jewellery as a welcome respite from her failed experiments during her days as a doctoral student. Her jewellery brand has since come a long way, having been featured in Urban Outfitters and the popular drama Gossip Girl.
