Imagine, the world at your feet, an uplifting thought that’s possible thanks to Superga‘s newest collaboration with character brand, Slimy Oddity. Ever a vision of wholesome positivity, you might have seen comic panels floating around that showcases Slimy, an amorphous red blob, who often explores existential ideas and the universal human condition.
Hold that depressing thought though, because Slimy confronts these with selfless love, self-affirmation and empowerment, ideas that then translate to some of Superga’s most classic sneaker silhouettes. The Superga x Slimy Oddity collection consists of 5 sneakers filled with artwork and positive quotes.
The signature Superga 2750 sneaker, for instance, features “Open Your Mind” against a neutral beige backdrop. Then, there are two 2630 models with their chunky-soled silhouettes; one sees multicoloured illustrations and matching multi-coloured eyelets, while the other is a minimalist design with the quote “Love Can Save The World” on the heel. The last two are junior designs, of slip-on shoes in white and sky-blue.
