By now, you should be familiar with Raffles City Singapore‘s revamp and how the premier fashion, beauty and lifestyle mall easily delivers across these diverse categories with class. We can go on about the new, cool fashion brands and lifestyle stores that have set up shop at the mall, but here’s the reason why we’re especially obsessed: the beauty boutiques.
They’ve decked the beauty halls alright, with luxury brands such as Givenchy Beauty and Creed debuting their first flagship boutiques in Singapore, while the mall is also home to Sephora’s first ‘Store of the Future’ concept in Asia. In fact, Raffles City Singapore boasts one of the largest collective of beauty flagship boutiques in Singapore under one roof, making shopping that much more convenient.
Beyond just the brand names — CHANEL, Dior, YSL Beauty, Gucci Beauty, Aesop, and several dedicated fragrance boutiques including Maison Francis Kurkdjian — the beauty of these spaces is that we get to swatch the hottest makeup products, slather on luxurious skincare, or sniff out the most enchanting scents to our heart’s desire; these elevated boutiques often introduce experiential concepts and exclusive products as well, such as facial cabins or lavish fragrance bars.
The diversity of brands include well-known international ones to local ones, and even new-to-market brands such as Thailand-based brand HARNN who recently debut a new store in the mall. Read on to find out what’s new at the mall, including their plans for this year’s festive light-up.
The Raffles City Singapore x Jo Malone London Christmas Display
The festive season is always a highly-anticipated affair, and you bet Raffles City is about to dazzle the Civic District with their holiday display, something we look forward to every year. This year, they’re set to ring in the Christmas celebrations with a first-of-its-kind Raffles City Singapore x Jo Malone London Christmas tree centrepiece, a 15-metre immersive installation that will bring out the joy and wonder of the season.
This magical Gingerbread wonderland will debut alongside festive offerings presented in an enchanting forest of candy stripes and cologne-decked trees, in an atmosphere filled with “ginger, spice, and all gifts nice” — whether that’s a literal expression will be seen when the installation is unveiled to the public in mid-November.
To accompany the festive collaboration, Jo Malone London will also take the opportunity to introduce their limited-edition holiday collection, filled with enchanting scents and gift sets, including the seasonal Ginger Biscuit creation. The iconic Wild Bluebell fragrance and more also come adorned with a jolly striped bow, while the series has pre-launched exclusively at Raffles City, #01-44, available now till 30 November 2023.
NEW IN THE CITY
Known for their soothing, high-quality body care and wellness range, Thai beauty brand HARNN has recently unveiled their first-in-Singapore flagship store at Raffles City, a serene sanctuary that puts you at ease the moment you enter. HARNN’s creations are crafted using only natural ingredients, via methods gathered from generations of Thai artisans, for pampering skincare, body care, hair care and home spa products that promise to create that same sensorial experience in our homes. If you’re new to the brand, you can’t go wrong with the bestselling HARNN White Tea and Camellia collection, with its subtle, clean scent that reveals supple skin.
Always at the forefront of skincare innovation, Kiehl’s is set to debut their first-ever Store of Tomorrow at Raffles City on 9 November 2023, a concept space that’s dedicated to expert skincare services involving new technologies. With the customer in mind, you can expect a curated skincare experience, via a complimentary deep skin analysis with Kiehl’s Derma Reader Pro Devices from Kiehl’s Skin Pros at the Skincare Academy Bay; this was something only previously seen at selected Kiehl’s outlets and pop-up events. We also heard that Kiehl’s will be introducing facial treatment services for the first time at the boutique, and, interestingly, a new Kiehl’s Cuddly-Coat Grooming Collection for furry friends!
Luxury Beauty Boutiques, Flagship Stores & More
exclusive services and products at the beauty boutiques
A whole range of beauty boutiques await at Raffles City Singapore, and these boast top-of-the-line design and services. Guerlain’s first standalone store, for instance, has a facial cabin so we can be whisked away for a pampering facial treatment; Gucci Beauty’s boutique opened to much fanfare while sporting the house’s eclectic, vintage-style codes; while Givenchy’s flagship boutique gives us their sophisticated range of makeup, premium skincare, and luxury fragrances, along with engraving services, all in one space.
Over at Aesop, the Australian brand is all about the multi-sensorial experience, especially enticing when there’s a Fragrance Armoire for us to journey through their one-of-a-kind scents. The Sephora store, on the other hand, is focused on tech-driven and interactive displays to elevate one’s shopping experience, with makeup tutorials readily available on screens, a Mobile Checkout service, and even a private facial cabin, exclusive to the Raffles City outlet.
L’OCCITANE has also launched their eco-concept boutique at the mall, complete with refilling stations, while shoppers may also explore classic favourites and renowned brands by simply walking about the first floor.
first-in-singapore fragrance boutiques
Fragrance fiends and those who love their scents ought to check out the myriad of options at Raffles City, where brands such as Creed and Diptyque have set up flagship boutiques. As a premium French-English hand-crafted perfume brand, Creed is eager to introduce personalisation services and tailored fragrance profiling at the store, alongside the exquisite Les Royales Premium Range, exclusively available here. Diptyque’s French-style boutique is very in line with the Parisian brand, with an adode-like atmosphere brimming with scented candles, fragrance bottles, diffusers, and more.
Then there’s Maison Francis Kurkdjian with their first dedicated boutique, which offers the full range of luxury and home fragrances by the legendary perfumer, including 724 and Baccarat Rouge 540. Acqua di Parma is yet another well-known name to launch their fragrance boutique at Raffles City, where, along with some of their iconic scents, the elegant Italian brand has opted for a first-of-its-kind Barbiere, which offers services such as haircuts and shave where you may try out Acqua di Parma’s facial products.
Of course, with the festive season almost upon us, it’s best to look out for more exciting festive offerings, pop-ups, events at Raffles City this November and December!
