Local theatre company, Sight Lines Entertainment, is looking to create a new form of live theatre experience in order to stay relevant and connected with their audience during this difficult period. Set to stage over the commonly used video-conferencing platform, Zoom, the interactive live performance of their supernatural murder mystery, Murder at Mandai Camp, will run for three nights from 26 June (Friday) to 28 June (Sunday) at 10pm.

Drawing inspiration from army myths and urban legends that NS men might find familiar, the story revolves around the murder of a young recruit whose mutilated corpse is found after a typical outfield exercise at Mandai Camp. As part of the audience, you will play the role of the lead investigator, tasked to uncover the truth and identify the likely suspects through real-time chat windows and messages that you’ll receive via Telegram.

By the end of the play, you and the rest of the individuals watching will be able to cast a collective vote to identify the murderer.

The unconventional set will merge between stage and film onto your screen to bring the uncanny Mandai Camp to life, while giving you a first-hand look at the actors who will perform within rooms that exude a suspenseful and somewhat creepy vibe.

As the show does involve some more than PG details, the virtual play is only suitable for individuals above the age of 18. Tickets are sold here via SISTIC with a pay-as-you-wish model where tickets are priced at $15, $20, $30 and $50.  You will receive a Zoom link to enter the experience 2 hours before the show starts.
