Rediscover Night Safari with the Breadcrumbs App — An SG-Made Location-Based Game

Launched just in time when most of us are deciding how and where to use our SingapoRediscovers Vouchers, Breadcrumbs is a location-based game developed locally that aims to give you an almost game-like experience with incentives as you discover (and rediscover) the Night Safari.

Through interactive quizzes and games, the app hopes to change the way you experience different spots at the attraction with the ability to level up and earn rewards within the app. This is done with the help of specially curated Breadcrumb trails which brings you enhanced experiences using digital and augmented reality.

Here’s a look at what the Breadcrumbs App looks like.

Using Breadcrumbs, you can journey through Night Safari’s walking trails and expect a different spin with the Wild About Twilight digital trail which features Points-of-Interests (POIs) and new exhibits that will keep you engaged as you explore, learn and get rewarded.

The app provides you with a list of places to discover in Night Safari.

With the use of the in-built GPS feature, the Wild About Twilight digital trail will give you an opportunity to explore the Night Safari through the four trails — Fishing Cat Trail, Leopard Trail, East Lodge Trail and Wallaby Trail — in a fresh and interactive way. The app will also allow you to encounter 20 points-of-interests which includes animal exhibits, photo points and even ‘Special Discoveries’ that utilises Augmented Reality.

Using the Breadcrumbs app will give you a chance to win these prizes!

The app provides incentives that you could win as well — these include limited edition enamel pins, tickets to the Singapore Zoo, Friends of Wildlife memberships and a Safari Adventure Tour!

Breadcrumbs is available for download for iOS devices here and Android devices here.

As of now, the app is only equipped with the Wild About Twilight Digital Trail which you can use at the Night Safari from now to 27 December 2020.
