Phase 2 of post-Circuit Breaker has finally started, and we’re just a bit closer to going back to our regular routines. June happens to be Pride Month, and in previous years, the end of June usually led to the annual Pink Dot gathering, a non-profit movement bringing the Singaporean LGBTQ+ community together. However, Pink Dot 2020 is going to be a little different this year — since we aren’t able to gather in-person, Pink Dot 12 will be streamed online on June 27th!
If you’re planning on participating in Pink Dot 12, local neighbourhood bartenders GudSht has added two limited edition Pride-themed cocktails, perfect for you to sip on while you tune in to the livestream.
What better way to celebrate Pink Dot 12 than with the pink Rainbow & Stardust cocktail? The antioxidant-filled cocktail gets its lovely pink shade from GudSht’s homemade Rosella Syrup, combined with Chrysanthemum-infused Gin, and topped off with yuzu juice and peach bitters, resulting in a tart, cranberry-like flavour.
Pair it with its purple partner, the Unicorn Barf – Pride Edition cocktail. This Roku Gin and Campari-based drink is infused with homemade Yuzu Rose and Butterfly Pea Syrup, along with refreshing notes of plum and honey. Both drinks are topped off with a dash of silver glitter for that extra sparkle.
If you’ve been looking for ways to contribute to local LGBTQ+ organisations, sipping on these two drinks is an easy way to do so. 10% of all proceeds from sales of the two cocktails will be donated to Pink Dot and the LGBTQ Resilience Fund @ Sayoni. The cocktails are available as individual bottles, or as a special bundle of two, and are only available from June 19 to 28th.
